In 2017, it was a pivotal moment when we moved from the “where might we go?” stage, to putting sticky notes on a map. I assembled a giant laminated wall map, made from AAA’s selection of detailed folding road maps and laminated with wide tape, and we started sticking. We texted family to ask about stopping by or staying, invited travel-experienced friends to suggest locations, added places we’d never been but always wanted to go. Before we knew it, we had a wall-sized inspirational statement hanging in our hallway – The Map.
